If it sounds and works as well as I've heard here then I plan to order a second mic, maybe even a third so that each instrument could be pre-mic'd during a perfomance. Go to https://www.ikmultimedia.com and look under Products/Accessories/All Accessories scroll down and there it is dead center... Viola! Thanks Barry, great review.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11773081077424141114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-85264730413199679842017-12-28T20:03:20.346+00:002017-12-28T20:03:20.346+00:00So IK Multimedia got back to me very quickly (too ...So IK Multimedia got back to me very quickly (too quickly) and just said “the iRig Acoustic Stage will work with your iPad” ... and failed answer my question about whether it required their Lightning to USB cable to connect. I cut and pasted their own description and image of the cable and asked would they guarantee that it works if I purchased that cable .... a much delayed reply came back with a link to an Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adaptor and a regular USB to micro USB cable stating that the aforementioned are required.
Through gritted teeth I duly ordered the camera adapter from the Apple store for £29 which arrived 2 days later, paired it with a micro USB cable I had lying around, and hey presto - it worked !!
I can now use my iRig Acoustic Stage to record directly into Garage Band and Music Memos on my 2017 iPad ... with pleasing, good quality fidelity .... at last !
Geebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02874030794582990384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-40733875489511361422017-12-26T11:22:38.711+00:002017-12-26T11:22:38.711+00:00I received a FocusRite iTrack Pocket for Christmas...I received a FocusRite iTrack Pocket for Christmas and it came with a micro USB to to Lightning cable .... this also failed to work on the iRig Stage however the iTrack Pocket microphones do work in Music Memos, Garage Band, Photos (video mode) and the bundled FocusRite Impact app. This would suggest that there is indeed a proprietary pin to pin connection mapping for iRig Stage micro USB connections. I have opened a support ticket with IK asking if I purchased their cable (£29) will they guarantee that the USB connectivity to my iPad. I’ll let you know the outcome. The one without the preamp (aka iRig Acoustic) just connects to a iPad/phone. I think that's what you said, just wasn't clear which one you meant with the "this one"... the Acoustic Stage version does have a USB out, which could also connect to an iOS device or computer, so definitely the most flexibility.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-13878136433663993972017-05-18T04:57:13.164+01:002017-05-18T04:57:13.164+01:00Sounds Brill Barry!
