It's not too bad but the action was so high (3.25mm) I struggled with it for ages. Picked it up, put it down etc.. etc... After seeing this I asked Tanglewood how to adjust the torsion bar in case there were any issues I needed to know about. No answer after a couple of weeks, so with much trepidation I did the best I could. Set at 2.25mm it is now a little joy to play. I'm a guitar player and have found Tanglewood Guitars to be very good. Always wanted to try a Uke, so took a punt and bought one of these with the gig bag for £85 which is a good price. <br />It feels good in the hands has a bright tone and the setup was acceptable - I may tweek this as I get more of a feel for it. The onboard tuner is very useful and the pickup is pretty good too. this means that thruogh my amp I can tweak the sound to what I feel suits the song/piece; plus i can use my guitar pedals too which is great fun with some pretty cool tones :-D Chub59https://www.blogger.com/profile/14318849258183389859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-46368457369164952572018-11-06T21:14:42.995+00:002018-11-06T21:14:42.995+00:00I just bought this ukulele on sale for the equival...I just bought this ukulele on sale for the equivalent of £90. I seem to be seeing more and more ukes produced this way. Which surprises me. I recall more than one maker saying that a glued bridge is intended to come off if the tensions get too high, or some other mishap occurs to the instrument. Sort of a fail safe mechanism to prevent greater damage to the top. Wouldn't screws defeat this?Kennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07458353524357762974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-63168093770581272572018-01-28T19:43:27.049+00:002018-01-28T19:43:27.049+00:00I liked it more than that Johnny - just was too on...I liked it more than that Johnny - just was too one dimensionally bright for my my tastes. Not much else wrong with it, but no - doesn't set the world on fire either I guess. There is a huge gulf between 8 out of 10 on my site and 9 out of 10! Getting into the 8's means 'respectable'. The 9's are the one that really make me happy. The 7's are 'go carefully' and below 7 is AVOID!Barry Mazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15731777711884288947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-44239463421896474282018-01-28T19:09:23.333+00:002018-01-28T19:09:23.333+00:00Although you gave it 8.3, your tone and enthusiasm...Although you gave it 8.3, your tone and enthusiasm didn't come across as 8.3!
