What I am suggesting is ignore any pattern - just learn to play with the beat of the song perfectly. I am sure that when people hit that level, patterns will fall out naturally<br />Barry Mazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15731777711884288947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-27584727087083309222019-12-17T17:04:19.934+00:002019-12-17T17:04:19.934+00:00As a beginner, I agree with Keith. It helps me a ton to learn popular strum patterns to a particular song, then when I actually learn to play it, I can add my flair. I strummed the way I was feeling the tune as I do with all of my songs.Signoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-11312711516357143202014-01-30T10:25:40.296+00:002014-01-30T10:25:40.296+00:00Above is the reason why I rarely advise strum patt...Above is the reason why I rarely advise strum patterns and think they are unhelpful. Who's says that is right? It really depends on the style and feel you want to give the piece. Strictly speaking down down down down is correct too. Learn the rhythm then apply your own feel and don't be swayed by those saying you MUST play it this way or thatBarry Mazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15731777711884288947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-76324424311062240032014-01-30T10:09:23.433+00:002014-01-30T10:09:23.433+00:00Down, down, up, up, down.
