So I wasn’t expecting much. I think lucked out though. The setup is actually quite good on mine. The nut came unglued but I think that may be partially my fault for storing it where it could get knocked about. The strings aren’t the best but not terrible. I quite like the laser etching and it looks a lot nicer of an instrument than the $50 I spent. I quite like this instrument. Also strings are what Makanu calls "high quality nylon," which I'm guessing aren't Nylgut or they would probably say they were. Overall I'm happy with it, or will be when I get that saddle sanded down and the fret ends filed. It is unfortunate that beginners that wanna save money need to learn to do a proper set up!Nickie McNicholsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-68385963759608418592017-07-30T04:46:15.732+01:002017-07-30T04:46:15.732+01:00It's a shame when an instrument is just a good...It's a shame when an instrument is just a good setup away from being an awesome bargain. They even managed to give it a normal sounding name.

I don't know what it is about sealed tuners. I know they're supposed to be an upgrade, but to me they look so chunky on an ukulele. I suppose if I took my uke to the beach maybe I'd want them.Glennnoreply@blogger.com
