I have 2 tenors, one significantly smaller than the other, a pineapple tenor, a paddle, and the seagull electric uke, which needed a mandolin case. As you can see, different cases are a must.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04524458226038531776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-66370770366281156142016-09-15T00:32:50.756+01:002016-09-15T00:32:50.756+01:00If the uke is an unusual shape or thickness in the...If the uke is an unusual shape or thickness in the case of the Kala Travel ukes, then an included case is a must. Otherwise, I'd prefer to choose my case. E.g. having two backpack straps on a soprano just seems odd to me and then there are the extremes of no pockets to multiple bulky large pockets - I like something in between.Glennnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-19369987803978012212016-09-13T08:57:17.519+01:002016-09-13T08:57:17.519+01:00I'm never likely (except, perhaps, when moving...I'm never likely (except, perhaps, when moving house) to travel with more than two ukuleles, therefore I simply don't need more than two cases.Jim Averyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04944700853093844760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-58274022653760895572016-09-12T20:26:39.264+01:002016-09-12T20:26:39.264+01:00Interesting - didn't know that Mark - thanks. ...Interesting - didn't know that Mark - thanks. Then the design of the bag changed - better quality, more padding, but much more expensive and not so quirky. I took the decision to lower the instrument price and offer the bag as an option. Those kinds of decisions are made all the time, often because the bag/case factory is not the same as the instrument factory and putting the two together can be a logistical nightmare.Mark Pughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17216334214925772253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-79492253634610737292016-09-12T16:58:52.672+01:002016-09-12T16:58:52.672+01:00I recently purchased an Ortega Friends Series Conc...I recently purchased an Ortega Friends Series Concert ukulele, it arrived in a box as you would expect and I was concerned about the instrument inside, when I opened it the ukulele was snugly and safely set in a padded gig bag with the manufacturers emblem on the accessories pocket. I was unaware the bag was part of the deal. I'm not sure if guitars are sold with protective bags, violins clarinets and saxophones purchased... weren't, I agree with you that all musical instruments should be sold with a bag or suitable protection whilst being transported Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10542203845624510675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-54501379861596766292016-09-12T15:55:53.147+01:002016-09-12T15:55:53.147+01:00Except for the Dolphin, my ukuleles live safely wr...Except for the Dolphin, my ukuleles live safely wrapped up their hard cases and I like a case made to fit the uke I bought, fit it well. Yes, people can always get others, but still think it would be nice for them to come with their own case if only as a short term stop gap.Barry Mazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15731777711884288947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4724767841739249964.post-36070093912766330142016-09-12T13:08:33.139+01:002016-09-12T13:08:33.139+01:00Different people will want different cases.
