Ukulele jam to tonight

A nice ukulele jam with friends tonight (four or five ukes)! Not reported on a jam for a while to give you song ideas, but together with some of our more usual songs we added in a few new ones tonight, including,,

Dancing In The Dark
Dont Worry Be Happy
Run For Your Life
I Only Wanna Be With You
Into My Arms

The usual songs we play didn't get left alone though, so Bad Moon Rising, Maggie Mae etc had an airing

Fun times and the best way to play ukulele. I'd encourage any beginners to try to play with others as much as they can.

RIP Bill Tapia - Ukulele Legend

A sad day today, when I learned of the death of Ukulele Legend Bill Tapia.

Aged 103, Bill continued to play and perform until his death and was a complete legend in the ukulele world.  He was the subject of one of my ukulele heroes articles and will be sadly missed.

This video was for his 100th birthday concert.  Enjoy.

Michael Watts - beautiful ukulele playing

I adore this ukulele playing by the extremely talented Michael Watts.

Michael is an award winning finger style acoustic guitarist who turned his hand to ukulele for this video.

Let It Snow - Christmas Ukulele Chords

Great Christmas ukulele tune for you to learn in time for the big day!

Let It Snow

       G                D7            G
Oh, the weather outside is frightful,

            Am            D7
But the fire is so delightful,

       Am                  E7         Am
And since we've no place to go,

          D7                              G
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

       G                D7         G
It doesn't show signs of stopping,

          Am                           D7
And I brought some corn for popping.

       Am                      E7          Am
The lights are turned way down low,

          D7                               G
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

                  D
When we finally kiss good night,

              Em             A7           D
How I'll hate going out in the storm.

           D
But if you really hold me tight,

 E7              A7              D7
All the way home I'll be warm.

       G         D7      G
The fire is slowly dying,

            Am                               D7
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing,

         Am               E7       Am
But as long as you love me so.

          D7                             G
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Enjoy!
